The Palais de Beaulieu is located near the city center of Lausanne, and is easily reachable by public transportation from the train station, or by car. It provides a large underground parking lot

 

 

How to reach Lausanne

 

 

By air:  

Lausanne is located 60 km from Geneva airport, and 224 km from Zurich airport. Both these airports are connected with most major airports in Europe and overseas.

 

By train: 

Lausanne is approximately 30 minutes away from Geneva and 2 1/2 hours from Zurich. Trains circulate at regular intervals, with approximately 3 connections per hour. The last train from Zurich leaves currently at 22h43. Lausanne in connected with all European cities.

 

By car: 

Lausanne is connected with all major European cities by a dense highway network. From the highway # 9, take exit Blecherette and follow “Beaulieu” signs.

 

Language

 

 

The official language of the congress will be English. No simultaneous translation will be provided  

 

Climate

 

 

In Lausanne, the climate in April is usually mild, with a mean temperature between 11 and 21 degrees Celsius, but it is occasionally cooler. Rain is not exceptional at this time of the year.

 

CME credits

 

 

The scientific program of the IFSO – EC congress will be submitted for accreditation to the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) and to the Swiss national societies for internal medicine, endocrinology,  and surgery.

 

Insurance

 

 

Registrations fees do not include insurance of any kind. The congress organizers will not be responsible for anything occurring to participants, including theft or physical injuries. Participants should make sure that they are covered against any possible damage by their own insurance companies.
